Merry Christmas!

We spent Christmas Eve with Donna's family. We went out to Applebee's for dinner...what a nice and relaxed way to do Christmas Eve dinner...nobody stressing, no clean-up, everybody got to order something they liked! Then we did presents and hung out at Jim's house. Jim (Donna's Dad) as usual gave us about a year's worth of movie gift cards. We'll be off to see Marley and Me and Seven Pounds this weekend.

So, here are two of my favorite contemporaty religious kind of Christmas songs.

Another Favorite Christmas Song

When my parents sent me my first CD player for Christmas one year, they also sent me the CD that contains this song. I was really sick with the flu and set up the CD player and inserted this CD and put in on replay all songs (at least that was what I thought I did). Then I lay down on the couch, kind of sleeping and kind of comatose, covered with as many blankets as I could find. Every time I woke up or got up for 24 hours, this song was playing. I actually started to think that I was just hallucinating this song due to my fever. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I had set the CD player to replay one song!

I really like how the lights are set to the song.

I hope you enjoy it, too!

So, maybe they were right....

It has been snowing since about 9a here and it has not stopped. All sorts of schools closed for the day or else sent kids home early. I'd show you a picture, but I am not going outside to take one. I did what any self-respecting person who had today off would do...got up, played on the computer, did a little laundry, made cookies, and went back to bed for a nap! I made Carmen's awesome sour cream cookies and the ever famous grandma cookies. Yum, Yum, Yum! I think that I would still like to make a banana bread....we have 2 nearly dead bananas....and Donna loves banana bread. I don 't love it so much; when I eat banana bread, I get the sensation of my teeth itching. Pretty strange, huh?

My Favorite Christmas Song

I have absolutely fallen in love with this song by the Transiberian Orchestra.
I hope that you enjoy it also.

So, doesn't everybody have a blog these days? Here is mine......

As far as I am concerned, today is Friday. I do not have to go to work tomorrow so today must be Friday. Apparently, I chose a great day to not go to work as the weather is supposed to be horrible tomorrow. It probably won't be; I think that the weather people like to get every body up in arms...and up in arms everybody is. My work holiday party is tomorrow evening and today the party house people called my agency to ask if we should reschedule for the next night. We said no...it's only 5 days before Christmas...what's the chance that 113 people would not already have some plans for this Saturday night?

Here is the weather forecast for tomorrow, courtesy of WROC:

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for snow beginning early Friday morning and continuing heavy at times into the evening. The heaviest snow will fall between 11a.m. and 4p.m. when snow could fall at the rate of 1-2" per hour. Travel will become difficult during the morning and probably not improving until sometime in the evening.

I guess that we will see.
